(no subject)
another update. weee. only this wont be my regular freak-of-nature-ly long type entry. because i must get to bed rather soonly. because tomorrow julia is coming over to my house at 10:00 in the am! oh man soo early how am i going to manage? but she is only coming over so early because THEN in the afternoon i have a playdate with emily rose. so tomorrow is a day to be excited for. and now, the list. because lists are always nice.
1) this thanksgiving break has gone by WAY too fast. like it is already going to be saturday. it probably is going by so fast because i spent SO much of it in the freaking car. even though i have decided i like car rides. they are nice. and preferrable to planes because planes hurt my ears sooooo much. and i can never hear out of my ears for like 2 days after i fly. so. i am sad because there are only 2 days left.
2) i just wrote 3 before i decided that 2 came after 1. my father is watching tv. wtf? when does anyone in my family just sit down and watch tv? never, thats when. this is the tv schedule for my family: 7th heaven and everwood (eeeee) on mondays. thats it. well, besides when the red sox are actually existing. because then it is red sox every night. but besides that. no one in my family watches tv. oh also p.s. sometimes when there is a good movie on tv that i like (i.e. lord of the rings or a walk to remember) then i sometimes watch that. but that is quite the rare occasion. so, you see. it is quite bizarre that my father is watching tv.
3) my hands smell bad. from my hockey gloves. and its annoying because the smell of hockey gloves doesnt go away when you wash your hands. i think i need to wash the gloves, or something. because my hands are pretty stinky.
4) NOT as stinky of when there was a SKUNK IN MY HOUSE. well there wasnt really. but it REALLY smelled like there was one. like no joke. i dont know where the skunk was when it sprayed, but it must have been SUPER close to my house. because it was INCREDIBLY strong. but anyway.
5) i have been in somewhat of a knitting frenzy lately. knitting is so nice. and a good way to pass the time when you are at your CRAZY relatives house for thanksgiving. and the worst part is that they are crazy but not to an extent that it is funny. just to an extent that it is boring. and i spent my thanksgiving day knitting and reading harry potter. but harry potter is soo good so that makes it a little ok. but this is off the topic of knitting so...
6) thanksgiving. the meal itself was sooo disappointing. we USUALLY go to my dads side of the family and there we have everything normal- turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, those nice little bakey dinner rolls, and lots of yummy desert. sometimes TRIFLE. oh man how i do love trifle. BUT since we went to my moms side of the family, who are crazy, we had sausages and mushrooms in our stuffing, the potatoes were baked, there was no bread product at all, and the turkey was INJECTED with ORANGE. it was so sad. i really wanted to be at nana's house. thanksgiving there is the yummiest ever. i love it. alas. "it made them so happy" (them being my moms family) as my mom said. but it was disappointing, nonetheless.
7) my grandmother is so funny in the car when kate is driving. we went to a super restaurant for lunch today with my family and my grandmother. and we had to drop my grandmother back at her house and then we were driving home. so kate was driving. and it was a very nerve-wracking experience for my grandmother. she kept giving her very obvious directions, and repeating them. "turn left, turn left, right here... turn left" and then there was a one lane bridge. and she was even more nerve-wracked about that. she kept explaining what to do, even though we had discussed it on the way over and she repeated it many times. and the best part of all was when kate had to make a left turn. she waited a little while, and then it was clear for her to go, so she starts to go and my grandmother shrieks "WAIT" i nearly died laughing into my coat. so she has to stop and my grandmother continues to be flustered and then when there were no cars at all in either direction, she is like "ok you can go now" so that was quite amusing.
8) we stopped at one of the "plazas" on the pike on the way home. i got a nice auntie anne's pretzel. it made me quite happy. and there were these MAJOR sketchies who were at the plaza. one was wearing army pants and had dredlocks and weird boots, and the other had really long black hair and this cloak/cape type of garment, and sliver fingernails and freakish boots as well and they were soo strange and i laughed. and then i got a bouncy ball. ily bouncy balls. they are so enjoyable.
9) well. my plan for a nice short entry did not exactly work. oh well.
10) since there was 9, i had to make 10. because 10 is a really nice number to stop at. goodnight. i love you all.

p.s. my music is hardly ever actually playing, it is just in my brain. but the thing is i dont even like its raining men all that much. it is on my wonderful 80's cd though. and i was listening to it in the car ride home. oh a better music would have been Merry Merry Merry Frickin' Christmas. oh man it is super. alas. it's all been done.
