[ACTION: Logan takes a step and nearly falls down. Something is distinctly different. Well, that's what happens when you lose hundreds of pounds of adamantium in seconds. Nevermind that. There was a bad girl to find.]

Well. Ain't that a kick in the head. Hey, Julia? Y'all right?

georgie, curse, no claws?, wtf, julia

[For a few seconds, nothing around her seems real. It's like she can't trust any of her senses, like reaching out for something would only prove it's not there. Like she'd go tumbling if she could the tiniest wrong step.

But then she's just there and bracing herself with a hand on the nearest wall, and looking over at Logan, she moves her sunglasses up and onto the top of her head.]

Yeah, I'm fine.

...are you?

[Another step, this one more sure. Several lifetimes worth of adapting to surroundings were speeding along the process of relearning how to manage his body weight.]

Yeah.

[Logan lifts his head and smells the air.]

Heh, this place is the same.

[She gives him a sidelong look that's almost wary. It's not that she isn't willing to work as a team with him -- she opted to take the job, after all -- but she certainly hopes he's willing to do whatever he ends up having to.

He's the one who knows George. She's the assist.]

It doesn't seem any different at all.

[It'd almost be enough to be unnerving, but... at least everyone has the same home territory advantage.]

Where are we most likely to find your friend?

[After a third small step Logan reaches into his shirt front pocket for a cigar and match to light up.]

Likely the underground. We better stick close. You armed?

[He set a steady pace, she'd follow right? Nick wouldn't be sending along somebody he didn't think was capable of the job.]

[The way he pulls out a cigar seems so automatic it almost makes her smile in amusement.]

I never leave home any other way, Logan.

[One-hundred percent secure that she can have a gun out in a matter of seconds if she needs it before they get to the underground, she falls into step with him. Once they get closer to where he thinks their target will be, she can fall back if she needs to.]

[George was indeed in the Underground, smoking and drinking her way through yet another bar. After Stark's attempt to corral her she was unwilling to be caught one on one with anyone who might have "good" intentions towards her, but thankfully the City was amply supplied with men who had only bad intentions towards a beautiful and dangerous woman alone. She was quickly becoming queen of the pool table and hadn't paid for a drink yet.]

[There were a number of bars in the Underground, but Logan took care to remember which had given a signal on the network. He slowed at the entrance.]

Here goes nothin' [mostly over his shoulder to Julia, this felt something like an old fashion showdown in a saloon.]

[She gives him the smallest of nods and keeps her voice low.]

Go for it.

[This is as alert as she gets, although she still doesn't draw any of her weapons yet. She's following his lead, and she's expecting to be able to read him when they've actually found George.]

[Spending most of her life around guys helped in situations like these, and if any of them tried anything it wasn't like she was unarmed and vulnerable. Revealing dresses made things a bit harder, but she still had a gun and a knife strapped to her thigh and could take down a man twice her size. She had been expecting Logan to show up some time soon, taking into account the amount of time it would take him to cross over and find her, but her back was to the door as she slipped the solid four into the back corner pocket to a chorus of groans.]

[Delilah, some unfortunate guy's bike is out in front of the bar. She is here. No doubt. Logan steps in. AC/DC is going on in the noisiest of ways. It adds to the thickness in the air thanks to all of the smoke. Not many ladies around in this particular bar. He walks along the bar, ignoring the bar tender and anybody else.

Hank would say something like, "Oh my stars and garters."]

Hey, Georgie.

[She's careful to keep a distance between them once she steps in after Logan. It wouldn't do any good to tip George off too much in advance.

The atmosphere in here is exactly the kind of thing she's used to, and as she joins the crowd around the pool table, she can't help thinking the woman Logan calls Georgie is exactly the kind of woman -- in this version of the city, at least -- that she could've run in similar circles with outside of this place.

She positions herself at an angle from them, her hands on her hips, but her eyes don't leave either of them.]

[When she heard his voice she frowned and froze only for a moment before the smile was back and she turned smoothly to face him, leaning back against the table.]

Hey, baby. Was wondering when you would be joining me.

[Her grip on the pool stick was tight as she waited to see if he was going to be friendly or hostile. She was hoping the amount of leg she was showing would help sway the matter.]

[His arms folded across his chest. The cigar he lit earlier was working its way rapidly down to a stub. Logan would not admit out loud how good she looked. And even if she did look good, she wasn't the same.]

Sorry to cut the party short but we need to get going.

[Logan's gruff, it occurs to her, but he's good. All that leg showing, and he hardly bats an eye at George before he tries to get down to business.

She bides her time, prowling halfway across the table and wedging herself between people so she's given a clear view of the two of them. In spite of her craving for one, she doesn't go so far as to pull out a cigarette.]

[George notices the blond who definitely hadn't been there before, and vaguely recognizes her. She shifts, partly to keep her within her sights, and partly just to put her cue down in favour of her beer. It was looking like this wouldn't be quite as fun as she had hoped. She liked Logan.]

Get going where? Home, maybe? That would be nice.

[Stepping into his personal space and reaching out to wrap an arm around his neck. If she couldn't make him show some appreciation she was going to be quite unhappy. All that waiting for nothing?]

Going home is the idea.

[It was hard to be so stoic with her dressed like that and so close. There was cigarette smoke in her hair and--she had company earlier. I guess that's what happens when you see a man named Dick.]

I'm headin' that way, darlin'. [He lightly unfolded his arms and rest his hands on her hips and looked into her face. Georgie his Georgie was in there somewhere.]
