So ah.  That's all then, I suppose.  Unless ( Read more... )

Happy Mayfield anniversary . . .

There probably isn't anything you should do, but it might make you feel better if you treat yourself to something nice.

Isn't that what everyone's just dying to hear...?

Oh, I believe I just might.

I've got about three months left before mine. My birthday must've passed sometime in there, but I don't really know when.

What are you planning?

Your what?

... Well. Jolt is on his way over.

Um. The day I was born . . . ?

Are you and Mr. Jolt going to have a party?

Don't you? The day you were created doesn't mean anything to you?

Try to have fun.

Oh. We will.

What about the birthdays of your friends? Do you remember for each other?

No. It's not really that important.

Oh . . .

That's a little sad. A birthday's probably one of the most important days in the year for us. One of the happiest. You don't have anything like that?

... If it doesn't mean much to us, why would it be sad? This is the first I've heard of it. It's difficult to be sad over something you've never heard of.

We have, "Oh thank everything, we survived that battle" moments.

I meant I thought it was sad. Any chance to make someone a little happier is a good thing.

. . . I guess we have those, too, but that's not really the same.

Ah. Well. I can assure you, we're all right doing as we've done.

... It works all right.

You should try it some year. Since you're in a human body and all . . . Birthday parties are part of that.

I wouldn't... even know when.
