[It's been a year, perhaps closer to two years, at most. When it comes to keeping track of time, Shing knows he hasn't been the best at it. Friends have come and gone, all sorts of strange things have happened to him... he's gotten used to it. He never gave up the hope that he'd be going home, but he'd be lying if he said he disliked his stay here -- admittedly, he's met a lot of people who he became good friends with.

So when, on a random day where he's on the roof looking for the area that Luke and the others are exploring, there's a soft glow from the door behind him and pushes it open, there's a quiet gasp of disbelief from him as he stares at it again.]

I... I don't believe it.

[But there it was. Somehow, a portal that was homeward-bound had appeared before him. There's a quiet pause as he stares at it wistfully.]

...sorry, everyone. As much as I enjoyed making friends with all of you, having fun with you... I can't exactly stay here forever, right?

[Indeed, the kelly-green fields of Celirand are calling to him.]

... I won't forget you all, though. You'll all be with me always -- I don't need a Soma Link to tell me that.

[One more sigh as he nods. He's ready.]
