Texas is teaching the nation's children to think right.
This article makes me want to pull my hair out. This is devastatingly bad news. Most of the nation's textbooks are written to Texas standards, and Texas just made their history standards into Evangelical/Republican propaganda.
It sickens me that this band of Texas political hacks will have more impact on the beliefs of the next generation than those of us who dedicate our lives to teaching them the truth. I know better than to teach students that the U.S. Constitution is based in Mosaic Law, but there are plenty of teachers who won't know enough to discredit the text. (This requirement was one that was mentioned in a prior article on the subject.)
