Conversation-level Away messages on IM
Has anyone developed a feature that lets you show different Away messages to different people on e.g. AIM? For example, a bland professional Away message ("I am away from the computer right now.") for work contacts, but a more personal message ("Getting coffee and picking up my mail, bbiab") for friends? So, like, one Away message for a Friends group and one for a Work group, if you sorted out your buddies.
I started this entry thinking of conversation-level granularity (in the parlance of our times), but doing it by group seems easier. Though if you could have a default Away message for a group, you might could still set an individual-level Away message.
