The LEVELLERS. Holy crap!
Man, wouldn't it have been great to be in England 20, 25 years ago and be a dirty socialist university student listening to this and NMA and Scritti Politti before they went straight and all that? It'd be like "The Young Ones," where you'd go to the laundromat or your scabies treatment appointment at the NHS and there'd be a band playing there for no well-explained reason, and after a song or two you'd all go about your business as though nothing had just happened.
Anyway, yes, I see why this album is considered a classic on t'other side of the Pond, and in particular it is great "waking up in the morning on a sunny day" music.
