I still love it here, but it's all true. Except for the part about Washington bars NOT being soaked in cigarette smoke. WA is *worse* than Portland in my admittedly limited experience.
Yours truly owes a whopping $1.36 in Multnomah County taxes. That plus another 29 cents will buy me a one-zone bus fare.
It has been variously raining, hailing, and snowing in various parts of the greater Portland metro area, but I only got the no-fun ol' rain. Nuts.
