My hard drive is pretty much fried. Next steps?

After 4 years and 5 months of service, two continents, two DVD regions, a replaced battery, a replaced power adapter, a recently-replaced inverter board and cable, added-on memory, added-on Airport card, and an attempted theft, it appears my beloved iBook has finally died. I guess I can get the case back and put the spare laptop drive in there, and make Syrinx my backup machine. Meanwhile...
