Aww man. I have totally mixed feelings about today's run. (Yes, Monica, this is another post about running.) It was a great day for a run: it rained like crazy earlier and it looked like it could rain at any moment when I headed out, but by the back stretch I actually got a little sunshine. I added a loop at the end because yesterday's run was around 3.78 and I was aiming for 4, so
today's run wound up around 4.18, give or take a few steps here and there, and recognizing the level of accuracy that may or may not be inherent in Gmap-Pedometer's distance calculations.
Anyway. My legs felt good. My head was clear. My breathing was fine. I was running at a steady clip (around an 8:15 pace). But my feet. Well, specifically, my left foot. Wow. I really punished the blister that formed yesterday along the inside of my foot, just back from the ball of my foot, along the arch. I'll take a picture of it tonight. It doesn't look too terrible, but the entire inside of my foot is rubbed a little raw. My shoes are brand new, which might be a factor, and this is more mileage than I'd put on my orthotics with any consistency over the last six months or so. But I need to get it figured out because this is not fun.
Time to call Keela again.
And I'll probably stay off of it tomorrow.
