Feeling a little run down
It's 9:30. I just laid in bed with Seaves and watched some show on the WE network about not judging women by their covers or something like that. Featured on this show were a dominatrix, a woman in an "open marriage," a woman who was married to a gay man, and a woman who was addicted to prescription medicines. The first two segments featured people that I never ever wanted to see even partially undressed in all sorts of compromised and blurred-out states. It was a little disturbing.
Anyway, I'm down checking e-mail and doing some chores before heading back up to sleep. My jaw hurts from having the crown done today. Everything went surprisingly smoothly. This was a preventative crown on one of my molars. I'd had it filled a long time ago (I had horrible oral hygiene as a child) and there was just the hint of a crack on the outside that they noticed two cleanings ago. I put it off for a while, but eventually decided to get it taken care of after some horror stories about root canals gone bad from one of my officemates. The only thing that hurt was the shot to numb my face. Why can't that not hurt? ("Why does that have to hurt?" suggests my brain's editor, as a replacement for the previous convoluted question.) The combination of having to hold your mouth that wide open for as long as I did, combined with the pressure the dentist was applying to my lower jaw doing all the stuff has made it sore.
My chin was numb until this afternoon, so I had ramen noodles for lunch. I was actually surprised to find some in the house.
This entry is even boring for me. I'm going to run the dishwasher and get ready for bed.
