Working for a living.

Today has been busy with all things personnel. Ah, unionized environments. Good times. That's all I'm probably allowed to say.

I ran at lunch today, just a quick 2.2 miles. I probably ran too fast, though. I also ran my normal 2-mile loop in reverse and I was right: the middle of the run is all up hill. On previous runs I'd felt like I was running downhill for most of the time. It's a slow and subtle descent, sure, with a reasonably sized hill on either end, but running it the other way, there's the steep hill right at the beginning that is just about an 1/8th of a mile hump and you wind up lower than you started. And then the next 1/4-1/2 mile is down hill, then the rest is pretty much up hill. I actually liked running it in the long, slow, up-hill direction. It was nice out, too. Warmer than it's been but still a little breezy.

On the flip-side, I didn't do any laundry when I was home for lunch. AND I threw a PB&J and an apple in a Kroger bag and rode back to work AND MY APPLE FELL OUT! When I got to work I had the sandwich but no apple. There was a big hole in the bottom of the Kroger bag. D'oh!
