So we've been letting Drew watch some shows every morning on TLC. Up until this morning, they've had a set of shows generally grouped under the "Ready, Set, Learn" moniker that included Ready Set Learn (with Paz the penguin and his three friends, plus Big Penguin and Pappi), then
Peep and the Big Wide World, followed by more Ready Set Learn, followed by Hi-5. Each show is around 15 minutes long and they're probably the best children's shows that we've found.
Anyway, that all changed when TLC announced last week that those shows were moving to Discovery Kids. Discovery Kids?

*facepalm*
Discover Kids is only offered on their Digital Preferred or above package. (Actually, it's offered on the "Family Tier" but that package doesn't include any of the ESPN / some of the news / TLC / Food Network, etc. so it doesn't really count.) So we have to upgrade our cable. And that has already been more complicated than this might be worth.
Comcast! They're supposedly coming over next Monday evening. We'll see. I'm not optimistic, given my experiences with them in the past.
/Also, upgrading my cable on the day of the largest point drop in the history of the Dow seems remarkably unhinged, doesn't it? Just wait til you hear about our plans for renovating our house!
