I'm on my way to give a degree audit training session to the College of Business advisers. This will be big for me, since the CoB has some of the biggest majors by enrollment on campus, which means that once they adopt the electronic degree clearance system (Degree Audit), I won't have to manually clear those degrees at the end of every semester. Oh yeah!
Things here are good. I might have mentioned that my Mom and Dad are coming into town tomorrow late night, staying through the weekend. I'll try to get some quality Dad, Doug, and Drew pictures. The goofy kind. Drew was awesome this morning. Awesomely grumpy. He's pretty funny, but his teeth are really bothering him. Poor little guy. They just don't seem to want to come in. I told somebody in my class that he's already walking at 11 months and she freeked out, mostly because she has a niece who is almost a year and isn't walking yet. Take a deep breath...Drew is extremely advanced. :-)
Good class last night. We talked a lot about the history and development of higher education in the United States. Actually, we've spent about 3 weeks on it so far, and last night was sortof a summary discussion on the historical basis for lots of things. But it's interesting, especially with the Little Rock 9 back in the news this week for the anniversary. More on my class later.
This past weekend I drove to Akron to drink good beer with our friends the Spoonsters. I also took pictures, which I've gotten from the camera, edited the ones that needed editing, but I haven't uploaded them yet. Maybe at lunchtime today. There are some funny ones. Good Times were had by most.
I've gotta go finish my breakfast (yogurt with low-fat granola, no raisins) and my coffee (creme brulee with half-and-half, sugar, and a shot of caramel), then make a pit stop before riding over to CoB. I have my rain gear in case of rain!
