On dreams we will depend.
I've been having crazy insane-o dreams lately. Which is strange because I haven't been sleeping very well. I've been waking up every couple of hours in a start, thinking that I'm late for something, or thinking that I've heard Drew or actually hearing Drew. He hasn't been sleeping well lately. His nose is running and we think he's getting some upper teeth. He's also big on practicing the standing up and crawling thing, so when he stirs at night he gets himself all riled up instead of just going back to sleep. So that's no good. It's also been wicked hot in our room lately. I don't know what that's about.
Anyway, two bits of work relatedness:
1) They accepted my article and it will be published in an actual print journal, not just an online journal. w00t!
2) I have to give someone their annual review in about 5 minutes. Sometimes I get excited about these, but in this case, not so much. Annual reviews are difficult for me, especially because I have very little ability to financially reward a really strong employee, and I have fairly limited tools available to me to...not discipline, that's not really the situation...but motivate? Maybe that's better...I have very few tools available to me to motivate an average employee to increase their performance. Ah. Who made me a supervisor anyway?
