I knew it wasn't easy. I have never even implied that being a full-time caregiver to a child was easy.
But I spent the day taking care of Drew today, as I will do for the rest of this week. Today was alright except for two stretches where he just screamed and screamed. It was miserable. Poor little guy is all stuffed up. Both Claire and I have had wicked colds and this first one has got to be a little disconcerting to someone who's never been sick a day in his life. Literally.
Anyway, he was displeased for a while today and I am exhausted.
"Stay at home" Moms have my vote for "People of the Century."
I'm off to bed. We're doing a "dry run" tomorrow morning of getting up and getting him ready for daycare. This should be interesting. I hope it goes well.
