Word up.
I'm on vacation this week. Actually, I'm on vacation for another whole week, returning to work next Wednesday.
I did some housework today, and we just got done bathing Drew and putting him down for some sleep before his last nightly feeding. We're trying to ditch the overnight feeding. We're having mixed results. I still have to get up in the middle of the night, only now, instead of feeding him and going back to bed, I just change his diaper and try to get him to sleep again. Which usually takes about the same amount of time as if I had changed him, fed him, and burped him. But then when I get him to fall asleep, he usually wakes up again about an hour later wondering, "Hey! Did I miss something?" He wonders that aloud, in the only language given to an 11-week-old.
So instead of getting up once a night, it's two or three times. But I'm hoping that this is a short-term problem for a long-term gain of him eventually sleeping through the night.
