This weekend.
Today is Friday for me.
My Mom and older sister are flying in tonight, and my Dad is flying in tomorrow after work. They're coming to visit for the first time since we moved to Michigan, so we've been getting the house all cleaned up and nice, and I even mowed the lawn last night in 95 degree weather (just in time, too, 'cause we had wicked thunderstorms late last night--and it's threatening rain again today).
seaves' Mom is throwing us a baby shower on Saturday, so we + Mom and Dad and Deej will cruise on over to Wixom for that. Other activites for the weekend will include: Mom and Deej preparing meals that we can stick in the freezer and then pull out and heat up once the baby gets here; a quick tour of our neighborhood, the downtown East Lansing area, and a visit to my office so they can see where I work; eating some ice cream; drinking some wine (or maybe me and Deej will make some cocktails); the baby shower; a visit to the Flap Jack on Sunday morning, then Mass at St. John's; then they're off on Sunday afternoon.
It should be a fun visit!
HOLY CRAP! It's POURING down rain right now. Get it all out of the way, suckah! I want the weather to be nice for when my parents are here for the first time!
