Justice Department to NSA: Can we examine our lawyers' role in the warrantless wiretapping of American citizens inside America that Bush authorized?
NSA: Sure. But the people doing the examining will need security clearance.
Justice Department: Great! Can the people doing the examing get security clearance?
NSA: Umm...No.
Justice Department: OK.
I guess we won't do the inquiry then.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is your America. And this is unacceptable.
/p.s. And the
NSA has a database of calls made inside America. Why are you concerned if you have nothing to hide?
