The parents leave the country and leave me in charge, of their house (with NO heat), depositing their paychecks, responsibilities, etc. No biggie, right? Right. Just some carefully thinking and everything will get done as expected.
The challenge: shopping. What an adventure today. Not only did I lose out on using a $25 off $50 coupon because the cashier did not listen to what I said and then proceeded to blame me, but I got home to find a sensor STILL on a pair of jeans. No biggie. I worked in retail. I know how to pop those suckers off. As for the coupon, I got my ass back in line, bought the same damn pair of pants and USED the coupon and explained I will be returning the $50 pair later on with the original receipt. I got to use my coupon, though requires a return trip.
All said and done, they failed to look at my receipt which indicated that I used a $50 store coupon. Once I make that return, I'll have spent ZERO dollars on a pair of jeans, 2 shirts and an oxford shirt. Exactly. Lesson to be learned: retail employees are underpaid and they don't care.
