I love that I've had this journal since I was Cam's age. I just read back to 2003 and it was pretty cute. I was pretty gay and thought I was pretty cool, but the cutest thing is that Katie, Brandy, Natalie and Amy are still my bestfriends.
I can't believe were adults! Amy lives in Australia and is getting married, Alexis already owns a home and her wedding is next summer, Katie just graduated from Northeastern, Natalie is a badass nurse, Brandy is an AGM, and I am finally, finally, doing clinical research.
My job is amazing. casual dress, flexible hours, good pay and benefits, great people and for 8 hours a day, I get to listen to music and contribute to the integrity of a study that analyses a break through therapy for treating Melanoma. oh, and its on Comm ave 2 miles from my apartment.
The one bummer is that Casey and I are still living in different cities. I love my job, and he just got a new one that is again in Providence. one of us will eventually have to bend but I love living here, and were not in a rush really. It's just tough to love someone so much and only spend 3 days a week with them. He's such an amazing man and while we aren't rushing things, we are both looking forward to spending our lives together.
I notice that in the last 3 years, regardless of what we've been through, I've always been content in the present with him. I never look back on our relationship and wished for the past because I sincerely feel that we are just as in love as ever, more in fact. He has shown me the same amount of love, affection and attention throughout. Things were really tough for us in the beginning and we've both grown so much together. I feel like our relationship is so easy now, but not at the sacrifice of passion between us.
