After talking to Willy Cheng (a friend of mine who used to be a good fencer, but gave up on the sport, and who is now going to a top law school. He said he's going to make $150000 a year after he's done) and a stranger on the Metro North today (her husband has a phd in philosophy and and owns his own business), I'm hungrier to fence well. I'm not going to write the reasons here, but if you ask me in private, I'll gladly tell.
I took a good lesson with Slavic, and I learned more about myself as a fencer and as a person. The more I work with Slav, the more and more I realize that he's a genius in fencing, and a very good and honest guy.
