Global Warming [Please Read]
I’m here saying this for my egoism. But apparently, you, and yes, you have the same problem as mine. Simple to be said, this is OUR problem.
I’m sure that all of you have been heard the word of ‘global warming’, why it’s happening and it’s bad effect for us. So I won’t give a shit to talk about it, all of you already knew it and I just wanna say that global warming is affecting OUR lives. Because we live on the same earth and breathe the same air. Our house’s gate or even a frontier can’t make you escape from this global warming.
I know that more than half the citizens in the earth are children. Me myself is just a student in a high school. My school is being said as the best in my town, unfortunately, mine is a small town, in a small island called Bali. My town isn’t famous and we don’t have a discotheque. Not even a bar, nor a pub. Neither are a café.
A kid. That’s what we are. If I had my luck, maybe some adults read this. But what we can do? Should we plant a thousand trees in the secluded hill? Should we stop all the factories so their smoke won’t break our ozone? Should we close all of the paper factories so they going bankrupt? Should we close all factories which use tree as their main input? Can we really do that?
Yeah, maybe we can do that. But not as a kid. Not today. We need to grow up and being an adults, or maybe a lawyer so we could do those things. Therefor, we need like, yeah, 20 years. Cool, coz at that time, we already craving for a fresh air and a clean water. We don’t have to do something super duper mega big which could shake the world. No, we should just do what we can. Doing a small thing is a start for a bigger thing.
I’ve been thinking about something that all of us, a kid, a teen, an adults even an elder can do these kind of work. I have 4 points; keep clean our environment by throwing our trash in the trash bin; we can pick which trash is made of plastic and put it in the plastic bin and so on for the other kind of trash; we should STOP burning anything, cigarettes, tire, trash, whatever. And the last point; as we can’t fix the nature, we can’t make it any better, we should STOP breaking it!
I know some -or maybe a hell lot- of you thinks that these 4 points won’t bring any change, won’t save our earth. But I do believe that we can do this. I do believe that even though we are just a kid, through our lithe hands we can save the world. Still not believe in me? Then you just try it out. Just do it. Do that 4 points and look at our earth 20 years from now.
I ever watched and read about what will happen to the earth for the future 20 years. About how bad our earth being injured by OUR hands! I watched how earth will be disappear, just like the dinosaurs, just as how the wild animals and plants extinct. We, humans, will be vanish too. Because our place to live the lives is gonna be gone.
Truth to be told, I didn’t trust us to make it, to save the earth. But today, I trust you, all of the humans in this earth, we can make it! We can save OUR earth. I know this thing is your issue too, so tell this to everyone you meet, to everyone you know so the world knows that we MUST save our earth.
