Motorola Incorporated is a fortune 100 communications company. We have 320 facilities in 73 countries around the world. Our worldwide claim to fame has been making cell phones, and we are renowned worldwide for our technological advances in the communications field. In 2004, our net sales were over $31 Billion USD and are actively traded on NASDAQ. We connect you to life.
Even though we are a very large company, we treat our approximately 68,000 employees very fairly. We pay our employees reasonable rates, all above the legal limit where applicable, or the industry standard. We do not engage in any immoral business activities, and we follow a strict code of ethics. In addition, we were given a score of 100% on the Corporate Equality Index, “a tool to measure how equitably companies are treating their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors.”
In our production throughout the world, we try to be as environmentally conscious as possible. We try to respect all of the earth’s natural resources, and try to build in as safe a way for the local population as is healthy and safe. We also are committed to improving the environment, by helping improve the air and water pollution in areas where we operate.
We have many ambitions in India. In addition to several Research and Development labs throughout India, we are hoping to soon build a plant to expand our coverage in India. Due to our increased investment in India, we are hoping to be worth $1B USD by the end of 2006. By moving into India, we will not only be able to tap a one billion-man market, we will also help connect India to the rest of the world, and to fellow Indians. Our ventures in India will be beneficial to everyone involved.
