last year, i ran across this prompt, and was so moved by that quote at the top, i, uh... wrote a novel about it? literally. fifteen chapters, original fiction. just thought i would post the link to the last chapter here, which includes the links to all the other chapters, the soundtrack, ect.

christian has everything he needs. he has a girlfriend who loves him, friends who take care of him (and let him crash at their house every night), a job, and he's a full time student at a university. being home for the summer should be a montage of sunny days at the beach, drunk nights, bonfires & getting laid.
reese has nothing. at 21, he is barely scraping by from the money he gets from dealing drugs and turning tricks, he's not in school, and has no plans. but christian can't seem to stay away from him. while Christian tries to make reese better, he only ends up making himself worse.
