I LOVE this fic! I ADORE it! The tone is very Twilight. You've managed to capture the various aspects of their relationship, including the sweet innocence of their sexual attraction, in spades. I was especially enamored with the way you handled the consummation *finally* of their relationship. Let's be frank. Everyone knows that you write the best, most explicit porn out there, but I appreciated your porny restraint here. *g* Anything else wouldn't have felt as authentic (canon to you) or been as effective, IMO. The suggestion of what happened and the physical aftermath - with the bruises etc.- and Bella's toughness was genius and right on the money.
I loved knocking around the inside of their heads. Not easy to do, especially with Edward. That really elevated this fic to the usual Peki level, IMO. There was a fine line of sophisticated psychological insight, intelligence and angst running through the fic that made it feel like an authentic plunge inside Edward's head. Is there a ( ... )

It's funny that you'd say explicit porn wouldn't suit them - I made no conscious decision of that kind while I wrote, but issuegirls voiced the same thought, and when I got to that part, I just couldn't do it - it just wouldn't have suited their first time. I'd like to write something more explicitly smutty sometime that's set after Bella's conversion, because in many ways, that'll be the end of innocence for their relationship...but even then, I think B/E will always be sweet more than hot ( ... )

And the only thing better than an awesome story is a looooong awesome story.
This might sound weird, but I liked how you made their first time not quite perfect. I think that a lot of people overlook the fact that Edward is essentially made of stone while Bella... isn't. I would expect her to end up with a bruise or two, just as I would expect Edward to fret about it. And the line about the cracked rib made me laugh.
Anyway, great job! I hope you write more Twilight stories in the future.
