I should update occasionally, eh?
So, yeah, summer and blogging don't mix for me. In no particular order:
- I've been driving Nathan to camp the last few weeks. Every day he wants to listen to two songs - Matthew & Son by Cat Stevens and Coin-Operated Boy by The Dresden Dolls.
- The kids heard the original version of original version of the infamous Veggie Tales Bunny Song recently. When the chorus kicked in, Bastian immediately scolded: "No no no, girls! That's wrong! Oh, you're gonna get a tummy ache. You stop singin' that stuff!"
- When we re-opened the kids' playroom (previously closed due to a shattered light bulb), the kids re-discovered their Word World toys, so the house is littered with letter-shaped animal parts. Elijah has been quite happily constructing chimera from them.
- Haley has become quite the little chatter box. Hard to estimate exactly how big her vocabulary is, but she responds to and uses far more words than the boys did, even when they were far older than her.
- Considering social media options. LiveJournal seems both broken and largely abandoned these days, Facebook is a displeasing mess, Dreamwidth is unproven, Google+ has lots of people joining but seemingly fewer people actively using, Twitter is just too limited.
- I had other things to say, but they escape me now.
