I'm in the middle of a story and realized that I don't even know the basics. (Bad fan!) I hope someone can help. I'd like to know June's address and the Burkes' address (if that's even said in the show) or if it's not said maybe their area. How much time would it take for someone to walk from one to the other? Would it be faster by public tranport

The actual house that was used in Pilot and Countermeasures (and maybe a few other eps) is the Schinasi Mansion at 103 Riverside Drive - it's a real house. It's just north of the Upper West Side neighborhood of Riverside (where the canon address of 78 Riverside Drive is). It is also very close to the Hudson River and if there was a river view, you'd see the Palisades in NJ.
The shot of the NYC skyline (and the Crysler Building) was taken from the rooftop of Tudor City, on the East Side, approximately 6 miles southeast. The rooftop of Tudor City is also 20 stories up, not 4 stories. It would be virtually impossible to have that cityscape from the "real" height.
There have been some visual clues that they's moved the location of June's mansion to the neighborhood where Neal would be able to see the Crysler building, but there are no single-family residences of that size in that area.
Someone had visited the WC set and took a photograph of a piece of "mail" addressed to the Burkes. The address was 2428 DeKalb Avenue, Brooklyn. However, that address doesn't exist. The stencilled number of the Burkes' front door is 109, and if they did live at 109 DeKalb Avenue, which is in the Fort Greene neighborhood. Prices for single-family homes in Fort Greene start about $1m USD.
And in Shoot the Moon, not only was the Burkes' home stated as being on Warren Street, but in the Cobble Hill neighborhood. Which was also stated in Neighborhood Watch.
DeKalb Avenue does not run through Cobble Hill.
Confused yet?
And FYI: If you ever see any NYC address with four digits not separated by a hyphen, they are fake addresses.

Seems like these days show runners don't care about continuity. I'll find a way to work around it. It's not crucial information in my fic, thankfully, but I'm always worried of plot holes and prefer to secure everything just in case; besides, it might come in handy for future stories. :)
Thank you very much. I've learned something today!

You can see pics of the house and its' interior. The house is worth about $11,593,829.
wikipedia link. Did you know that this house is a NYC landmark? Now as you said, you may not want to use the real house. But considering its' popularity, I figured that it would be fine :)

I just needed the address to look up distances on Google maps. To think this might just be a line in the whole fic! The lengths we go to do research. :)
I had no idea it was a landmark. I can see why. It's a lovely piece of architecture that needs to be preserved. I love that it's even mentioned in the wiki page that the house served in the show.
Thanks for you help! Much appreciated. ;)
