A Sad Goodbye, New Beginings and Mando Diao

After a long summer with barely any updates things have changed quite a bit.

First things first, my parents moved to a new town home in Anaheim. So, I'm no longer a resident of Torrance anymore, which sucks because all my best friends are there, memories, and HOME. Damn, after 15 years living in that same apt we are finally moving. And can you believe the amount of crap you can accumulate in that months time? but geez, just going through all my old things like toys, clothes, pictures just makes my heart break a little.

Now we live in Anaheim in a gated community which is different from the neighborhood that is 208th st. Much cleaner and a lot less scary. There's a pool there so this past weekend my sisters and I swam there. It's been awhile since I've been in pool, no less swimming, but nevertheless I did some laps and DAMN is that tiring. LOL. Good workout, good workout.

In addition, I started school last week. Boring per usual, but it seems like nothing TOO stressful this quarter, although I didn't have my management class yet so that could all change. I have so much reading to do, but I'm still not in study mode. And I totally forgot how long the walk was! And in this HEAT...DAMN that was no fun!

FINALLY, last night I went to the MANDO DIAO CONCERT!!! I was there much earlier than I expected, mostly because I was so used to a Rooney concert and going early to beat the tween girls that I forgot for a split second that mando is a TOTALLY different crowd. ALTHOUGH the girls behind me did mention rooney so I guess they were fans. ANYWAYS I was like 6th in line, all by myself per usual behind this guy that was by himself as well, so we just hung out together..NOT LIKE THAT...but just gave me someone to talk to (not my type anyway). And before we got in the venue (the troubadour) I saw the guys walk out to get into their van, and can I say gustaf...HOT!!! LOL. he was wearing these jeans with like a button-down red plaid t-shirt. GOGEOUS. but yeah since I was all up front in the line when they let us in I got a BEAUTIFUL spot right up stage in front of bjorn, I tried for the middle with gustaf but that was taken..oh well, I'll take bjorn. A good thing about being in the front is that you are closer to the band...THE BAD thing is that the closer you are to the stage the closer you are to the amps and the sound system...I still hear ringing in my ears.

The first band, Manic, was WHIZZZACK! They gave AM Radio a run for their money, 'nough said. The second band, The Lashes were actually pretty good...nice guitar and bass lines, however it was so loud that I didn't hear A WORD the singer said throughout their whole set. AND might I add their drummer is one of those exceptions where it's ok for a guy to were seven jeans...

THEN MANDO DIAO!!! AHHHHHHHHH they were SO GOOD! Truthfully I enjoyed the May show better, but I'll take whatever I can get with them. I preferred the May show because ann was there and also their set list was MUCH BETTER. They didn't play the hits I wanted them to and I don't know but their set seemed a lot shorter. BUT OH they played a new song called "lustful life" (i think) and shit the guitars on that...TIZZZIGHT!!! bjorn laid it down!!! LOL. but STILL despite all that it was still a GREAT show! Mando Diao can put on a concert like NO OTHER! There was this one girl however who I literally wanted to sock in the face at times. She was asian and GEEZ she kept pushing me ALL THROUGHOUT the show! Since I was right up on stage she tried to push her way onto the band AND...it PISSED me off! BUT anyways I stayed after...seeing as I came alone so at that point I thought to myself can't sink any lower so might as well stick around. I got a pic with the cj...the bassist with the most ADORABLE face EVER! and woulda got one with gustaf but he seemed busy and I chickened out. I went to go stop him, but it seemed like he was going somewhere, so when he passed by me I waved hi and he smiled at me. THAT WAS ENOUGH...for now...ann when you come back we gotta hit up ALL OF THE MEMBERS..LOL. but yeah that was my night..a little deaf, tipsy, with a lot less self-dignity...but ONE TIGHT ASS SHOW!
