gosh yesterday was one HELL of an adventure. first off let me tell you it's a rough life out here in fullerton. i got the WRONG order for my chicken strips at carl's jr. TWICE and the only way i was able to sit in on sheryl's bio lab was to say i was a student doing a research paper for comm....then i had to sleep on sheryl's floor with no pillow with where many spiders roam....TOUGH i say TOUGH!
i dont want to go into a long sorted detail about what happened at the Phantom Planet show so i'll just give a list of good and BAD moments....(which might be just as long as if i did go into detail)
- the doorman asking us if we came here last time for the PP show because kirsten dunst was there, which was followed up with us saying we saw her here when Rooney played, to which he asked "who's that?"
- the emptiness of the venue is an asset that i will ALWAYS love the glasshouse for
- all these girls that looked like people i cant stand
- the dancing girl who shouldnt have
- a filipino girl with some ugly ass rainbow shirt tried to move up on me and take my spot...ummm, NO!
- hearing an awesome cover of Lisa Loeb's "Stay" by ReeveOliver
- seeing that girl that smelled like stank cheese AND gave me and ann a bad look at the EBE show at the echo last year. Yup she was there in all her BITCH and glory with an attitude that was bigger than her as she had supposedly said bitchy things to the like before the show(so Z from the like said), as well as blocking my view AGAIN with her head. Plus she was there with a girl that sheryl geniusly dubbed "Penn and Teller" you'll see her in my pics.
- hearing a very STUNNING set from Big City Rock as we saw their new guitarist and drummer. (i never realized that this is like the sixth time ive seen them since they've opened up for so many bands i've seen)
- the boys of PP coming out dressed as the like and hearing them play one of their songs to perfection! it was funny because Alex was mimicking Z's voice perfectly and even though you he didnt know the words to the chorus it still sounds right because sometimes Z does mumble her words together like Alex did
- Z from the like calling the same girl who was mean to them a liar in front of the whole crowd because she said she loved the like. that was classic! the crowd wasnt so much into them seeing as theyre a mellow band and in last night in my opinion wasnt their best.
- the sweat and hotness that ensued before and during PP's set was just unbearable as was constantly deleting photos in my digital camera cause i didnt have enough memory (which is why i have no pics of ReeveOliver and the Like and few of BCR...not to mention that my line of sight was blocked for most of these sets so it would not have been the same any way.
- PHANTOM PLANET....enough said. they played all the hits (even the one on your list, ann) except for "KnowItAll" though and even sang "Local Black and Red" and "Galleria" which is such a nice song!
- Alex changing into the dress again.
- the like coming out and starting a pillow fight, which prompted Alex to take off his shirt and not "tar and feather" himself, but water and feather himself right before they did the big drum set at the end of "All over again"

THAT SHOW WAS ONE OF THE BEST! .....ALWAYS a great show at the glasshouse! that has to be like my favorite venue!
