Sims 2: Default replacement for bare walls

Apr 22, 2011 09:31

This is a shot in the dark.

I'm aware of only one default replacement for bare walls in build mode. That's this right here which replaces the flat gray with a numbered scale, for building purposes.

What I'd like is a replacement that makes bare walls look more like walls under construction. ( Read more... )

I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. The only thing I can think of is that numbered one.

Are those textures from TS2? What are they from? I'll look into this for you tomorrow (it's 11:45 pm for me right now and if I stay up any longer I will be a zombie tomorrow - little kids get up early, thus the mother never gets to sleep in either). If you tell me what the textures are and where they're from, I can take a bash at creating this for you. I don't make textures of my own but I'm quite happy to extract them from the game or grab them from elsewhere.

ETA: Because I can't help myself I had a look and I can do this in about 10 seconds flat once I have the texture. So just point me at a texture you want to use and you will have this once I'm compos mentis enough when I get up and imbibe some caffeine, say in about 8 hours' time?

The textures are TS2 Maxis, but I'm not sure which EP. I found them under Paneling. I could try to find them and extract them, if that would help. You are awesome! :D

ETA: The plywood is called Nekid Woods, and the sheetrock is Sheetrock X99. There's also a Half-finished Drywall. Any of them would do but I have a slight preference for Nekid Woods. I tried to find them in SimPe but couldn't find any walls -- so I'm reading up on this (I am such a newb at anything besides simple makeup/clothes recolors).

The walls came with Night Life, if it's any help :)
