painting
When I painted my old apartment, it was not this much work. Having friends willing to slather paint all day for pepsi and pizza is a hugely underrated benefit of living near people you know. *sigh*
We'd have a lot more of the house painted if the walls had been better off. Sadly, we've had to spackle and sand, or in some cases, cut out bad portions of wall, patch, spackle, and sand, in every room, so we're only done with the laundry room. The bedroom and sitting room are mostly done - just need to finish edging the ceilings, and the closet hasn't even gotten paint on the walls yet. Oh well - soon we'll have paint on all the walls (and celings), and have a lovely new kitchen to enjoy. Until then, I'm tough. I can take it.
