Can I just say, there's nothing like watching an episode of Animal Cops (any of the cities that are featured) to reassure you that some people really, really suck. You know, I can understand a lot of bad stuff. But what inspires someone to chain an animal someplace with no food or water and leave it there to die? Seriously, call Animal Control. They'll be glad to remove a pet from a home that doesn't want it. This seems to happen every damned day. On a recent episode in Miami a dog left chained to a tree with no food or water died of heat prostration. The neighbors were all (understandably)upset about it. Now this may be mean of me, but... if you're so willing to be semi-hysterical on national television, and tell us how that animal had been left there for days, and how horrible this dog's death is, perhaps you could have called Animal Control a couple of days ago. Perhaps you might have troubled yourself to bring by a dish of water or food. Turn off your tears, you stupid, lazy bitch. The hystrionics aren't doing it for me. The other woman started bringing the animals food and water when she realized what happened, but it was too late for one of them. She called animal control & brought them food and water. Ugh.
In a totally unrelated, and less annoying topic, what the hell is with posters on CC? Is standard english really so beyond the norm these days that simple conjugation is beyond us? It's either "has gone" or "went." It is never, ever, "has went," ever. I am, you are, he/she is, we are, they are... it's the verb TO BE, people. Augh!
Oh yes. To call someone a girl or woman shouldn't be an insult. I used to be a girl. I am now a woman. I am not offended by that comment. That you would use basic gender as an insult is far more offensive than using the term bitch.
