I can't ever remember a time where St. Andrews wasn't, haha. And if Harry promised you tea with our Gran, don't count on it! I hardly get to see her myself!
Yeah she's yer gran I get that but she's no my granny! I don't know, I mean I get the whole celebrities etc are the same as you and me, I could be considered a local celebrity but she's the Queen. There's no getting away from that!
I imagine people love the pomp and circumstance we Windsors bring from time to time but in all honesty, Catherine is the one everyone loves the most more than they do Gran.
I'll admit, there have been times where I've wondered if your gran is just like every other granny and puts her slippered feet up at the end of the day with a good cup of tea and watches the soaps! :D
My granny loves all the pomp that goes with your family. I do remember as a ween being sat down to watch all the important royal occasions on the tv with her. Since no one else will indulge her life I do. I think that goes with being the oldest grandchild though. I do understand why everyone loves Catherine. She seems like such a lovely woman, so kind and caring and yes, beautiful too. She has the kind of fairytale that most people only dream of I guess.
I COULD tell you what Gran is like but then I'd have to get MI6 to make sure you never utter a word to another living human being but right now I don't need that especially since I'm heading to Canada fairly soon, haha.
Well bless your sweet Gran's heart. I'll see if Catherine and I can round up a few pieces from our wedding to give to her. I should actually say Catherine since she's much better the organiser than I am! Actually, you could tell her what your Gran fancies and I know she'll come up with something lovely.
Hahaha! It's all just logistics! But I get that! Don't tell me anyway, sometimes the reality isn't quite so interesting!
Aww, you're a sweetheart! She'd be totally made up to receive something from Catherine! I can see her now, taking her letter and photos to the WI to show them off to all her friends!
Actually I think we could do your Gran one better than a letter and some photos! We would still do that but how do you think if we invited her to join us for tea in Norfolk? From time to time, we do invite people from the village up to Amner Hall. Catherine does all starters and scones.
Wow, that would be incredible. Thank you so much! Perhaps we should move to a custom to discuss the details? Unless of course you have AIM? or is this something perhaps I should be discussing more with Catherine?
I'd make it a surprise but knowing my Gran if I don't give her ample time to prepare she'll tell me off because she left her best frock at home!
Should be discussing that with me! William just shows up and eats to his heart's content, haha. And your Gran doesn't have to dress up! I never do when we have casual guests!
He makes the plans and just tells you afterwards? :D Sounds like me and my other half. 'Oh by the way, I planned for us to do such and such...' Then I get the evil eyes haha! I'll be sure to let her know. I kind of wanted for it to be a surprise for her. I think I'll have achieved favourite grandson forever for putting this off!
Actually, it's the other way round! Since I'm the one with the most planning experience having worked for my parents party planning and supplies firm. I think it won't be much of a surprise to your Gran anymore once you start making your way up the private road to Ammer Hall, haha. She'll know the jig is up!
HAHAHA! Well if I can get her out of Scotland before she susses something is up then I'm onto a winner! So if I need a party of epic proportions planning your the first person I need to speak to then??
I am! I've planned all of William and Harry's birthday parties ever since we were dating at St. Andrews and of course I've done up all of Charlotte and George's birthday parties and my parents' anniversaries.
So, this is my rather nervous way of saying hi and that I added you!
