Pride Weekend

About 20 years ago I graduated from an assemblies of god high school. For 10 years they taught me that being gay was sinful, sick, and wrong. They suggested the persecution of homosexuals. They gave extra credit for it for christs sake. My line was drawn when they offered extra credit for marching in pro-life demonstrations. If I'd believed any of that I would have many fewer friends than I do now. Religion should close gaps, bring people together, not teach people to hate each other.
