This National Poetry Month is like, the blockbuster movie version of the Writers' Block Poetry Night. Every Wednesday in April at Kafe Kerouac (2250 N. High St.) we will celebrate poetry in inimitable WB style!

This is a killer line-up of poetry events.

How does Poet Survivor work? It sounds like the kind of thing we'd love to start up in Vancouver.

6 poets go up, participate in a 5 rounds of poetry.
They vote each other off each round until only two remain.
Audience votes for winner after 5 rounds.

Thanks, Scott. It's a great concept. I'm going to mention it to our slammasters, Sean and Lisa, and see if they're game for trying it out on one of our Alt Slam nights.
