Can we get these guys looking for my class ring?So it's official. We haven't found any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. In-fucking-credible. According to the Washington Post:
Bush has expressed disappointment that no weapons or weapons programs were found, but the White House has been reluctant to call off the hunt, holding out the possibility that weapons were moved out of Iraq before the war or are well hidden somewhere inside the country. But the intelligence official said that possibility is very small.
But seriously, how disappointed could Bush be? He's got his second term in office, his party is in power, and he royally kicked Saddam Hussein's ass. Does anyone actually think Bush really cares about there being no WMDs?
Congress allotted hundreds of millions of dollars for the weapons hunt, and there has been no public accounting of the funds. A spokesman for the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency said the entire budget and the expenditures would remain classified.
Fan-fucking-tastic. So, not only do I get to pay to invade a country and pay to rebuild it, but I also get to pay a 'classified' amount of money to help justify the reason that I paid for the first two, only it turns out none of it was justified.
