Not a bad day

I have been in something of a funk lately, so I'm pretty happy with today.  I gave up on the "Walk at Home" tapes after trying one that was on YouTube, and finding the "gentle warmup" too vigorous for me.  But since I'm not getting outside to walk very regularly, I really needed to find something else.  So today, I just put on a couple songs I like that have a slower tempo, and did the same steps they do on the video, until I started feeling tired, which is my signal I need to stop.  I had actually tried this once before, but got winded after about 90 seconds, which was so discouraging I hadn't tried it again for awhile, but today was more successful - I was able to keep going for about 5 whole minutes!  WooHoo!  I think that this is easy enough that I can get into a routine of doing it right after breakfast, so my chances of building stamina are much better.  Of course, I've been optimistic and wrong before, but I think this is a realistic plan.  I'll keep you posted.

I also managed to sort my laundry (a bigger job than you might think, since I haven't done laundry for about 6 weeks), and cook tuna noodle casserole, so I feel quite accomplished.

We got some snow last night and this morning, but once again we seem to be missing the bulk of the snow, and hopefully also the worst of the ice.  LydaPearl's post on FB made me VERY glad I don't live in the Midwest.
