Employees must wash hands

Let's imagine you're at a restaurant and you are using the bathroom. You see the chef or someone who works in the kitchen use the toilet and not wash his/her hands.

Are you still going to eat there?

dining, gross

It won't kill me so I'll still eat there, but I would make a complaint to the manager and if I didn't get a good response from them I wouldn't be eating there again.

Considering I once found a portion of a plastic bag in my food, a careless chef seems mild. :-)

This question immediately made me think about the Seinfeld episode where Jerry is out to eat with his girlfriend at her father's restursnt. The father is the chef and Jerry notices that he doesn't wash his hands before preparing the food.

If I were in that type of situation I would probably make a complaint to the manager but stil continue to eat at the resturant. If someone's hair ended up in the food that would be a different story.

I immediately thought of the Seinfield episode, too! Coincidentally my boyfriend and I were just rewatching that season this past week.

Hair gets in my food all the time... then I realize it's my own hair.

One word: Uncouth.
I would probably complain to the manager or something though.

The thing is that most places have a double hand washing procedure. Meaning that they should wash in the restroom and before they go back to work.

Half of the time people do not wash there hands anyway, so when they touch the door they are pretty much voiding the first hand washing.
