Christmas for me personally. I have already spent the other holidays alone, many of them habitually, so I guess I'm over it. It's typical for me to celebrate my birthday on a day other than my birthday itself; birthdays aren't nationally recognized holidays, so people don't always have time or energy to celebrate. The Thanksgiving holiday was always shorter growing up, so it feels more extraneous to me, especially with Christmas a month later, so if I have to pick one to take time off/pay to fly home for I go with Christmas-- and if there's no friends stuck around too (because they all did go home or whatever), Thanksgiving is pretty quiet. Until I left home, I just spent New Year's Eve at home with my immediate family, who always went to bed early and only sometimes woke up to see midnight pass. (Though I think solitary New Year's Eves are kind of nice-- very personal and reflective). And I was single on Valentine's Day until I was 21, so that one I actually feel weird not being alone for.

So I guess because Christmas is the holiday that has had the most consistent celebrations in my life (we always had an extended family gathering on Christmas Eve), spending Christmas alone seems especially depressing to me.
