Denmark prevented an early out during the knockout-phase by playing 2:1 - this was one of the better games of this years World Cup - both teams attacking like mad!
Well, how could I finish without presenting THIS excellent specimen of a tattooed player, who sports a hairband too!
Simon Kjaer (US Palermo). Voted Denmark's "talent of 2009". A right back defender.
He has a case of the head-ouchs' -- he was already lying flat in the box during a massive attack by Cameroon, yet (magically?) managed to lift his head at the right moment to stop a promising shot on goal with his face. Well done, Kjaer! AND he played a great cross on Bendtner who scored the equalizer!
Oh wait - no! That's the other hairband wearing player, Poulsen (Juventus). But Kjaer got a nasty shot on his face during the first half. I got confused.
