Hello Cherubs!
I hope your Christmas was tolerable and the New Year brings you peace and a gentle grope.
Christmas was slow, quite and a tad boring. However, this isn’t really a bad thing. It was really odd to NOT partake in ANY family holiday gatherings for the first time…ever. Daniel had to work Christmas Eve & Day, but he didn’t work crazy odd hours, which was even better. I felt lonely for part of the Holiday, but overall it was good. We are starting to make some quality friends but most of them were out of town for the holiday as well. Next year I WILL be home in Indiana for the Holiday since it will be the 50th Birthday of my Mother. I am trying to plan something big for her, but it’s a long and slow process.
Daniel loved his Christmas present. It’s an aquarium that was created out of a recycled iMac computer. It did have a crack in part of the base, but it doesn’t bother him so we didn’t return it. Here are some pictures of the finish product. We have named the fish Phoenix (who apparently likes to play dead and come back to life), Liza, Jerry (because he’s a little “special”) and Burtha or Beatrice (Frankly I can’t remember).
We also made a Ginger Bread house on Christmas day. We had a lot of fun doing it, but lord was it messy. Our favorite parts have to be the pool with diving board and the garden

We also created our fist fire in the fire place (or at least attempted to since the fire wood was apparently a tad wet). However, we did have a little fun with bring a little warmth into the Celluloid life of Bing Crosby.
Christmas Eve I went to the
Mall of America because I was bored and wanted to enjoy witness the crazy people doing last second shopping. However, the mall was not busy. Oddly enough…not busy at all. I was sad. But then it got worse. I REALLY wanted to get my picture taken with Santa but NOOOOOOOOOO he was already gone and they were already TEARING down the display, which was a tad lack luster. I expected MUCH more out of the Mall of America. It was a nice relax time in the end.
Saturday night we decided (or I decided) it was nice to do a little late night Socializing. We went to our first
North Country Bear event and attended the Beer Bust Bear Night at the Minneapolis Eagle. Lordy, it was hot and sweaty and there were TONS of attractive bears all around. It reminded me of the good ole
501 (Indianapolis’ Eagle) days. Daniel was ready to go after that (at 10:00) but I talked him into going over to
Innuendo in St. Paul for another bear night. Most of our new friends were going so we needed to go as well. When we were there, they were previewing a video and program that will be showing on LOGO about a
DJ here in Minneapolis. They showed his music video that they shot at Innuendo. You might remember my
post on this. It was a joke. HOWEVER….they also played a video from the Minneapolis girl group The
Vagilantes.

I adore the video. I am not the biggest fan of groups that keep sampling other people’s songs, but it was a lot of fun. After the Video I saw the fabulous looking lesbian who had the best glasses ever. She was very 50’s throw back in a total John Waters style. I bought her and her friend a drink (because I thought they both needed to hear that I thought they were beautiful and I was feeling generous). I soon learned that SHE was one of the girls from the Video, which made me very excited. The director of the video was there as well and he was hot as hell. Of course, I stalked him on Myspace (ala my BFF Jason) and yeah…I can’t decide if I want to be WITH him or TO BE him. If only I was hip and cool. ALAS!
I think this is PLENTY for now :)

P.S. Sister Merriment St. Martha might be making an appearance at some point. Minneapolis has not met her yet and she hasn’t given a blog homily in a long time.
