all canoes are arranged in a spiral, starting with canoe a in the middle and going out in a clockwise manner. there are no oars with which to paddle away, and there's a strange current keeping the canoes clustered together in the middle of the lake. you may spot a flash in the water here and there, a few feet below the surface. something large, around seven feet long. needless to say, you shouldn't try to leave the canoes.
