I've come to the conclusion that everyone thinks they are better than someone else, and some people think they're flat better than everyone else. That they point out the faults of others without thoroughly examining themselves first. This may be a defence mechanism, but it's no excuse for calling others out and demeaning them for doing something that in their own eyes might seem stupid, pathetic, evil, whatever. Before any of you nay-sayers play the hypocrite card on me, I'll preface this by admitting I've done so in the past, and that I was wrong to do such when I could have been much more constructive in my criticisms of other people. Trodding upon others, calling out their faults so that one can say to himself, 'I'm better because I don't do that,' is reprehensible, and makes us no better than the Pharisees of old Israel, who would pray to God and say, 'Thank you for making me better than that SINNER over there.' Dudes, we all make mistakes. No one's perfect, and as all wrongs are equal in the grand scheme of things, no one is ever a better person than another in the game of right and wrong, especially when it's about pithy little things that are said and done. If you have to dole out condemnations somewhere, save them for the murderers and child molesters of the world, and grant a pass to those who simply say or do something contrary to what you see, hear, think, or feel. Petty infighting and bickering damages the fragile balance of life, and ultimately will spiral out of control if not confronted and rectified at the onset. Just ask the Muslims and the Jews.
