Podfics and Holidays
I'm on holiday at the moment with my family so this will be a pretty quick update, but I have to say how much I am enjoying Tenoko1's Supernatural Podfics. I've heard of Podfic's before but as someone who only listenings to audiobooks when I can't read, can't sleep or if Benedict Cumberbatch is reading, I wasn't watch you'd call champing at the bit with eagerness to explore them. But on Thursday night by insomnia decided to act up, waking me up at 4am and keeping me up (yeah great start to my trip away) so I downloaded Good Girl by Tenoko1, a cute fanfic about Cas, Dean and Sam getting a puppy so I could listen and exercise at the same time (yeah exercising at 4am.. did I mention my insomnia?) anyway so I had a great walk and really enjoyed the story as a bit of cute fluff. I've since been working my way through a lot of her other stories and stories from other writers that she'd podfic-ed. What makes them so good is that her voice is perfect not just as a narrator but also all of the characters voices, right down to the intonations and pauses. A few of these are NSFW and contain adult content so be careful if that's an issue for you or you're on a work network, read the tags, but there are lots of nice fluff pieces in there if you're not into adult/explicit content. They're pretty much all tagged Castiel/Dean but they aren't all specifically slash. I especially like the family pieces - Dean, Cas, Charlie, Sam and/or Kevin. But then I do like a lot of the destiel pieces too. Anyway the quality is amazing and I'm thoroughly enjoying them. Especially because we're all so worn out my eyes would fall out of my head if I tried to read much right now. It's a great trip but pretty full on, but I'm a total podfic convert now, at least where this reader is concerned.
