September: Month of the Tentative Return of the Hockey and the Pumpkin Spice Latte
Starting to get pre-season hockey jitters, maybe worse than usual because there seems to be a lot at stake. We made waves over the summer for once so everybody's lined up waiting for us to fall on our faces and embarrass the new ownership whose been back-handedly called new money so far. We'll see. Big speculation over comments from the front office about the organization planning to retire another number, but I don't think there's anything to speculate about seeing how the holdup apparently is that the player in question needs to retire first. Either we're going to suddenly get really nostalgic about Danny Briere, or we need ХК Спартак Москва to stop encouraging a certain goalie to escape from that nice adult living community his family put him in. Anyway, I'd love another number retirement ceremony soon (maybe with some more rafter decorations *fingers crossed*), but we'll probably have to wait until Dom drops dead on the ice mid-game in the next decade or so. #39 to the roof in 2025!
