I Love it When People Blame Cancer on the Patient for Reasons Virtually Out of Their Control
Some girl I went to high school with loves to post New Age platitudes as her Facebook statices and I can tell today's is going to go right in the scrapbook:
Cancer is caused by people not dealing with their true inner feelings. When you cut yourself off from parts of yourself, you create cancer. All feeling are you. They all come back to you. To write them off as "evil" or "the devil" is to create in you the same. To reject is cancerous.
She might have been speaking metaphorically, but it's still a pretty presumptuous thing to say. I'm even more annoyed that other people are liking this. Either they don't know anyone with cancer or they hate those people.
