I just want to say, no matter what the outcome of the game tonight, that the Flyers will continue to struggle as an organization/win by tooth and nail in the playoffs until they start showing some confidence in their goaltenders. Boucher should have played every game in this series and the mere fact he hasn't is beyond stupid. I don't know if Peter Laviolette doesn't understand the position or is just an idiot. As long as Philly spends year after year playing Goalie Roulette, there will always be that uncertainty at the back end of their ice. Just because you lose one game you do not throw out the baby with the bathwater. It makes your goalies uncomfortable, which will make them play unconfidently which in turn will make the rest of the team uncomfortable and their play will suffer. No wonder you haven't had a true #1 goalie since Ron Hextall.
Also, obviously I really want the Sabres to pull through tonight but if they don't, I feel better about the direction of the team and the organization so there's some hope there too. And we gave the Flyers a run for their money despite clutching the seventh seed at the last minute.
And just think, if we're lucky are reward is to have to play the Caps. Blargh :P
