"Sincerely, I am torn. I don't know if I want to go to Boston or stay in California. Any thoughts, opinions would be helpful. At this point, the academics are about the same to me, but the location, weather, the feel,... all of that concerns me. fsldkjjfslafs ( Read more... )

"I am the exact same thing with my colleges, I know I'll probably get accepted to all the ones I applied to. But I really worried about which school to go to and where to stay. Most of the colleges I chose are still in Ontario, so it's about a 3-6 hour drive or so if I didnt stay in Toronto. One of my first choices is McGill in Montreal, which is also a short distance (6 hour drive), but its an entirely new environment and that really intimidates me!

For now, my first choice is probably University of Toronto. But like, having always gone to a small elementary school and a smaller close-knit high school, I'm scared of that type of brutal ambiguity inside large classrooms. I dunno, I'm just sooooo troubled by what to choose and everything. Yesterday, I just sent an application (two essays attached!) to a program that is highly elite and difficult to get into (only TWENTY FIVE PEOPLE :(), yet it is the most unbelievably awesome and perfect thing for me ever. Now my hearts sinking with the fact that I am in some way anticipating it, but I probably won't get in. AAAAH, I'm so sorry for rambling like this. But I've been struggling with university and college problems too and its been like, mad tension in my brain. It's one of those revolutionary choices, and I know some people go like-- HAHA IT WONT MAKE TOO MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE. But honestly, it does. Most people meet their life partners in it and lives are usually given direction within it. BUT IM NOT READY FOR SUCH A DECISION YET. I just want to stay in high school forever and relax and hang with friends and have these little assignments every week to deal with.

But honestly, in my opinion, as some people said already, if the university you love more is in Boston. Then yeah, university is fully a chance to go somewhere new. Of course, it's not like im taking my own advice, SO HAHA. Maybe you shouldn't take it! :) but thats my two cents wrapped in a lot of selfish rambling about my life! LOVE YOU CHRISTINE AND GOOD LUCK!!!!" rambled Cheryl.
