Sam had decided to wait until they had Ben back and had made their way back to Seattle before having the wedding. They really were not planning on anything big - let's face it, Sam and Ruby hadn't made a lot of friends in the last two decades. He had to take a break and found a chair to sit in, accepting a refill on his champagne and just nibbled on some of the food that was on the table just in reach. He knew he needed to pace himself if he wanted to keep some energy going for the night, but he was excited and just wanted to be with everyone.

He was a little boy with the world centering it's attention on him, and he couldn't be happier.

Mary made her way over after talking with Ben, placing her hands on Sam's shoulders gently as she got closer. "Enjoying yourself?"

Closing his eyes, he leaned back into the hands on his shoulders before turning his head to look up at his mom and smile.

"Probably the best day of my life," he told her. "How about yourself?"

He couldn't help but just look at her. "You're so beautiful," he blurted out. After all, the only time he ever saw his mother was the one time in ther house when she had been haunting it.

She laughed. "Don't tease him. He's worried about that these days. The whole getting old thing."

Sam wanted to point out that it wasn't like they could age. It's been almost 25 years since he saw his father and he looks the exact same, and his mom hadn't aged a day from the photograph he still has in his wallet.

"Well, he is old," Sam pointed out with a smile. "But I'll be good."

He squeezed her hand. "How have you been?"

She took a breath as she looked around. "My boys are safe, they're happy, and they're loved. I'm pretty fantastic."
